This tool features a steel, stepped, spud design. The serrated edge cuts quickly and easily through the toughest ice. For the ice rescue professional it is imperative that the tool can be sharpened and maintained to ensure the tool can be deployed quickly and easily.
The spud not only is used to create holes in the ice for anchoring to but also accessing the ice for safety.
MEASURE:
Laser engraved measurements on the shaft of the ADK – 3 in 1 allow you to quickly estimate the amount of ice. After spudding the hole, simply place the edge of the spud under the ice to get a quick reference for how much ice is present. Knowing how thick the ice is could be the difference between a successful rescue and failure.
RESCUE:
Constructed of steel in the USA, the ADK – 3 in 1 is made with the Ice Rescue Professionals in mind. A mountain tough tool that can be stored, transported, and ready for action in under 30 sec is a key to saving lives when an ice rescue is needed. The ADK – 3 in 1 comes in a sturdy vinyl case in 2 pieces and is connected by an easy release clevis pin.
With an internally stored cinch stick, the tool can be deployed and anchored to the ice and it will not budge from its place, allowing for ice rescue teams to safely retrieve the victim from the water. Watch our videos on how quickly and efficiently the tool can be used.
